Bangladesh apparel exports down 7.74% in July-Nov FY20

Category-wise, knitwear exports fell 6.79 per cent to $6.809 billion in the first four months of fiscal 2019-20, as against exports of $7.306 billion during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, as per the data.
Likewise, exports of woven apparel decreased 8.74 per cent to $6.279 billion during the period under review, compared to exports of $6.880 billion during July-November 2019-20.
Woven and knitted apparel and clothing accessories’ exports together accounted for 76 per cent of $17.073 billion worth of total exports made by Bangladesh during the July-November period.
In the last fiscal ending June 30, 2019, garment exports from Bangladesh crossed the $34-billion mark.
