Robi, nCinga introduce IoT solutions for RMG factories

Leading mobile phone operator in Bangladesh, Robi, and nCinga, a Singapore based start-up have signed an agreement to introduce an Internet of Things (IoT) solution for RMG factories. nCinga’s next generation smart-factory shopfloor solution (nFactory) gives manufactures the necessary agility and real-time visibility to ensure world-class product quality.

nFactory is an industrial IoT based solution assists relevant decision makers with actionable insights to improve productivity and reduce defects by creating a digital virtual belt of a factory floor by capturing events in real time and contextually streaming it to them. Thus, the solution facilitates the factories to make a smooth transition from the era of mass production to mass customisation.

The partnership with nCinga comes as part of Robi’s vision of becoming the next generation digital company. It strengthens Robi’s position in the market in providing enterprise solution in the industrial IoT space, said the operator in a press release. nCinga has its engineering and development centre located in Sri Lanka.

Robi’s chief financial officer, Roni Tohme and nCinga Innovations Pte Ltd’s managing director, Imal Kalutotage signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The signing ceremony took place at the Robi Corporate Office located in Dhaka.

Robi’s chief commercial officer, Pradeep Shrivastava; chief corporate and people officer, Matiul Islam Nowshad; executive vice president (EVP), corporate strategy, Chamara Thilak Manamperi; vice president, corporate strategy, Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui and nCinga’s director, sales, Mudith Maddumarachchi were present on the occasion.
