KPR to increase annual garment capacity to 115 million

KPR Mill Limited, one of the largest vertically integrated apparel manufacturing companies in India, is planning to add another 10 million garment capacity to its existing facility, making it 115 million annually, said the company in its BSE filing. Concentrating more on the garment segment, it recently initiated commercial production in Ethiopia.

To match the increased demand for garments, the Tamil Nadu-based company is also expanding its textile processing capacity to 22,000 MT per annum.

Inspired by customer delight and the desire to make innovative designs, KPR creates fashion trends for men, women and children. Vertical integration of manufacturing process enables it to customise products as per the client’s specifications with consistent quality.

Entire operations of the company are strategically located around 50km radius from Tiruppur, which is regarded as one of the Asia’s largest apparel manufacturing clusters. The close proximity to buyers helps to reduce material handling costs and facilitates immediate feedback on the quality of the product. (RR)
