The price of recycled polyester filament yarn POY 150D, in China, is expected to increase slightly or remain stable in the coming months due to steady market sentiments and low prices of PET flakes. The domestic price is expected to increase in the third quarter of 2021 to reach 7,062.53 CNY/metric ton by September 2021, according to TexPro.

The price of the recycled polyester filament yarn in China was 5,996.43 CNY/metric ton in January 2021. It increased in the first quarter of 2021 to reach 7,242.39 CNY/metric ton in March 2021, recording a surge of 20.78 per cent owing to higher feedstock costs and enough orders.

However, the price decreased in the following months. It dropped by 9.02 per cent to reach 6,589.29 CNY/metric ton in May 2021 due to a decrease in the downstream demand, according to Fibre2Fashion’s market analysis tool TexPro.
