Gymshark selects Centric Lifestyle PLM to improve accuracy
13 May 20 2 min read
Gymshark, a UK-based fitness and apparel brand, has selected Centric Software's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. Centric Software provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to fashion, retail, footwear, outdoor, luxury, consumer goods and home décor companies to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Teenager Ben Francis and his friends founded Gymshark in 2012 as a screen-printing operation in a garage. Gymshark's product-related processes quickly became complex and challenging to manage due to the company's impressive growth, kickstarting the search for a PLM solution.
“We risked delays and errors because we were using multiple manual working documents simultaneously across our product teams,” Justine McCarthy, product development director at Gymshark, said in a press release.
Speed and accuracy were the primary drivers of the PLM project. We wanted one version of the truth that people could use with confidence to bring products to market faster and more efficiently.”
“Centric is highly configurable with great out-of-the-box templates and embedded best practices that will structure our processes as an evolving brand. We pride ourselves on being agile, and Centric will maintain that agility. The system is intuitive and fun to use, which is important for our young product team. It's the most appropriate and well thought-out solution on the market for Gymshark,” McCarthy said.
Users across design, materials, product development, sourcing and production will collaborate using Centric PLM.
“We are delighted that Gymshark has selected Centric,” Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric Software, said in the release. “Gymshark is an innovative and fast-growing sportswear brand that is poised to become an even greater success story, and we look forward to supporting them on their journey.”
