Retail veteran Nicky Dulieu joins UK's John Lewis Partnership board

The John Lewis Partnership has announced the appointment of Nicky Dulieu as a non-executive director of the partnership board and chair of the audit and risk committee, with immediate effect. She succeeds Andy Martin who stands down after five years with the partnership.

Dulieu has a strong background in retail including as chief executive of Hobbs from 2008 until 2014, having joined as the company’s financial director. She started her career with Marks & Spencer Group plc where she held various strategic and financial roles over a 23 year period. Dulieu currently serves as the non-executive director of WH Smith plc, Unite Students plc and housing developer, Redrow plc.

Dulieu joins Rita Clifton CBE who is also deputy chairman of the partnership board. In addition, the recruitment for a non-executive director to replace Nish Kankiwala is underway following his appointment to chief executive in March 2023, having previously served as non-executive director on the partnership board for two years.
