Feb consumer prices in Poland up 2.8% YoY, 0.3% MoM

Consumer prices in Poland in February increased by 2.8 per cent year on year (YoY), with goods prices rising by 1.4 per cent YoY. Such prices increased by 0.3 per cent MoM in the month, with goods prices rising by 0.1 per cent MoM, according to Statistics Poland.

Higher prices related to transport (an increase of 2.1 per cent) in February was one of the prime contributors to the total consumer price index compared with the previous month.

Lower prices related to clothing and footwear (by 1.4 per cent) decreased the index by 0.05 percentage points, a release from the official agency said.
