Indian retailer ABFRL reports Q4 FY21 revenue of ₹1,822 cr

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL), an Indian clothing retail chain, reported 1 per cent revenue decline to ₹1,821.5 crore in its fourth quarter (Q4) FY21 ended on March 31, 2021, compared to the revenue of ₹1,831.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. The company incurred a net loss of ₹195.8 crore (Q4 FY20: ₹146.5 crore).
EBITDA for the reported quarter grew 51 per cent to ₹253 crore (₹167 crore), while loss before tax reduced to ₹121.5 crore (₹185.8 crore).
Sales of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle segment rose to ₹1,254.9 crore (₹1,243.7 crore), and Pantaloons segment sales fell to ₹596.5 crore (₹626.0 crore).
The company stated that revenue of active athleisure innerwear for the quarter increased 56 per cent during the quarter, whereas supreme premium brands revenue surged 100 per cent. Ethnic wear Jaypore’s revenue grew 72 per cent for Q4 FY21.
