Archroma Pakistan bags Employer of the Year award

Archroma has announced that its Pakistan affiliate has been named ‘Employer of the Year’ in the multinationals segment in a nationwide contest organised by the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP), for the third time in a row. Archroma is a global colour and specialty chemicals company for textiles, headquartered in Reinach near Basel, Switzerland.
EFP granted the award in recognition of Archroma’s best practice in human resource management, ethical marketing management, and corporate social responsibility. Archroma always strives to maintain the highest standards in occupational safety and health fostering environmental protection through recycling and reuse. The production site at Jamshoro has a state-of-the-art sustainable effluent treatment plant with zero liquid discharge saving enormous amounts of water.
The two production sites of Archroma have also completed one million safe & accident free working hours and all offices in Karachi have been declared ‘Green Offices’ by WWF Pakistan. Archroma’s center of excellence at Karachi provides round-the-clock customer support and is a forerunner in textile specialty research, the company said in a media statement.
The efforts of Archroma Pakistan in these areas also earned its CEO, Mujtaba Rahim, the ‘Best CEO of the Year 2017’ award.
