Stahl starts construction of centre of excellence in China

Stahl, a leading company in process chemicals for leather products, performance coatings, and polymers for automotive, apparel, architectural, and lifestyle industry, has officially started the construction of its centre of excellence for performance coatings in Suzhou, China. The building of 916 square metres space will be completed by September 2018.

With the realisation of the second centre of excellence in China, Stahl expands its capacities to work side by side with partners to anticipate on the growing demand for products and solutions that have less impact on the environment.

Hagen Chen, managing director Greater China and Asia Pacific at Stahl said, “The new centre of excellence will provide our customers better services with state-of-the-art testing machinery to develop new solutions, for example our water-based STAHL EVO products. Our STAHL EVO portfolio contains non-hazardous solutions such as VOC-free, low-smell water-based and highly solid products including resins, cross-linker, pigments, and additives.”

Besides the automotive industry, the new facility anticipates on the growing demand for packaging film and paper, synthetic materials, coated fabrics, textiles, and specialty applications like medical and supportive gloves in China.
