17.1% YoY production growth in Iran's textile industry in 2022

- Production in Iran's textile industry rose by 17.1 per cent last year compared to a year earlier, according to Mohsen Gorji, director general for clothing and textile affairs in the ministry of industry, mine and trade.
- The number of industrial and production units involved in producing machine-made carpets in the country is 1,000, he said.
Announcing the first edition of the Specialised International Exhibition of Fabrics and Related Industries, to be held in Teheran from September 9 to 12, Gorji said the number of industrial and production units involved in producing machine-made carpets in the country is 1,000.
The country’s exports of machine-made carpets are worth $280 million.

Over 90 producers and suppliers of fabrics are expected to participate in the exhibition, a semi-official news agency reported.
