Annual Dutch GDP growth for 2022 4.5%: CBS 2nd estimate

Dutch gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.6 per cent in the last quarter (Q4) last year relative to Q3 and the annual GDP growth for 2022 for the country was 4.5 per cent, according to the second estimate released by Statistics Netherlands (CBS). Growth in Q4 was broad-based, with public and household consumption making the largest contributions.

Growth across 2022 was mainly due to higher household consumption. The trade balance, investments and public consumption also contributed positively.

The number of employee and self-employed jobs increased by 94,000 in Q4 last year compared to Q3, according to the second estimate. The first estimate suggested an increase of 85,000 jobs.
