A textile exhibition displaying textiles from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region has opened today in Philippines. The focus of the two-day show is on natural dyes and their products and handwoven fabrics that are being used by people all over the Southeast Asian region, exhibiting rich heritage, character, and culture.
The show is organised by the Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) in association with ASEAN Foundation.
The exhibition has participation from all the ten ASEAN countries, viz. Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. (VM)
