Asian ethylene prices continue to improve past week

Ethylene prices continued to surge in Asia in the last week on the back of higher upstream energy values along with improved buying activities in the region.

In Korea, average prices marched higher by US$ 40/ton and secured at US$ 1390/ton in the last week, as compared to the previous week, an increase of 2.96 per cent.

In Japan, average prices advanced by US$ 40/ton and quoted at US$ 1385/ton in the last week, a jump of 2.97 per cent compared to the previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices soared by US$ 10/ton and recorded at US$ 1275/ton in the last week, an advancement of 0.79 per cent compared to the previous week.

In NE Asia, average prices climbed by US$ 10/ton and assessed at US$ 1370/ton in the last week, registering a lift of 0.74 per cent from the previous week.

In India, average prices gained by US$ 5/ton and settled at US$ 1270/ton in the last week, showing a rise of 0.40 per cent over the previous week.
