Bali's Labda Anugerah Tekstil gets OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification

As part of the Labdanation Fashion Week, which took place on July 15 in Bali, PT Labda Anugerah Tekstil received the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate from PT Testex Testing and Certification. It is the first company in Bali to become Standard 100 certified.

The event, which was organised by PT Labda Anugerah Tekstil, carried the theme ‘How Sustainable Fabric will Revolutionise the Fashion’ which aims to introduce fashion eco-friendly products to a national level while supporting government programmes in achieving sustainable industrial development or a sustainable industry. There were approximately 80 participants, and attendance consisted of the Indonesian Textile Association, brands, and commission printing producers, Testex said in a press release.

PT Labda Anugerah Tekstil is committed to the concept, vision, and mission of gradually implementing total sustainability management, an approach that includes the management and integration of all sustainable aspects within an organisation, with 3 main pillars in economic, social, and environmental areas. It has demonstrated its commitment by achieving OEKO-TEX Standard 100 with the certificate number JK050 218757 for commission printing and finishing. In the near future, PT Labda Anugerah Tekstil will also carry out OEKO-TEX Step certification to ensure that the company and its production protect the environment and establish social responsibility.

"Let's set an example for the next generation, sustainable development does not use chemicals that damage the environment but uses environmentally friendly raw materials. Using environmentally friendly raw materials is an investment for future generations, while at the same time, we are preserving the environment," said Wijaya Ng as operational director of PT Labda Anugerah Tekstil.
