Bangladesh's per capita income rose by $233 to $2,824 during FY22

The country’s per capita income was $2,591 in the last fiscal (2020-21), said Mannan.
According to BBS estimates, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) would increase to $465 billion (Tk 39,76,500 crore) after the end of the 2021-22 fiscal. The amount was $416 billion (Tk 35,30,200 crore) in the 2020-21 fiscal.
The GDP growth rate would reach 7.25 per cent at the end of FY22, which was 6.94 per cent in the last fiscal, the minister was quoted as saying by Bangla media reports.

Among the three major sectors, the growth rates in the month were 2.20 per cent in the agriculture sector, 10.44 per cent in the industrial sector and 6.31 per cent in the service sector.
