Benzene prices increase sharply in US last week

Benzene prices showed a sharp gain in US in the last week owing to inadequate product inventory coupled with higher upstream energy values in the region.

In US, average prices increased sharply by 30 cents/gallon and quoted at 335 cents/gallon, a jump of 9.84 per cent as compared to previous week.
 
Meanwhile in Europe, average prices went up by US$ 55/ton and secured at US$ 890/ton in the last week, an advancement of 6.59 per cent as compared to the previous week because of bullish buying sentiments in the region.
