Cambodia's inflation rate drops to 4.9% in Q3 2022 from 7.4% in Q2

Cambodia’s average inflation fell to 4.9 per cent in the third quarter (Q3) this year compared to the previous quarter’s 7.4 per cent though the country’s economy has been recovering, witnessing a rise in construction and investment projects and production during the quarter, according to the Economic and Financial Statistics Bulletin for Q3 released by the ministry of economy.

Diesel price rose by 38.5 per cent, regular gasoline by 13.6 per cent and gas at 16.7 per cent during Q3 2022. 

The average price of crude oil was $96.6 per barrel—up by 34.6 percent—and the price of rice was $429.3 per tonne, Cambodian media reported.
