China's electricity consumption expanded in a robust manner in March this year, with power use rising by 7.4 per cent year on year (YoY) to 794.2 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), according to data from the National Energy Administration.
Power consumed by primary, secondary and tertiary industries expanded by 7 per cent, 4.9 per cent and 11.6 per cent YoY respectively.
The country’s residential power use in the month increased by 15.8 per cent YoY, a state-controlled news outlet reported.
