China will negotiate with US enterprises and raise imports of US goods and products based on market principles, according to Meng Wei, spokesperson of the country’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), who recently said the United States has high quality supply in energy, manufactured goods, agricultural products, medical care and financial services.

China will boost purchases of US goods and services by $200 billion over two years in exchange for the rolling back of some tariffs under an initial trade deal between the world's two largest economies, according to a news agency report.
