Exchange Bank of Canada (EBC) and Currency Exchange International (CXI) have announced a sponsorship of Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada (ATSC) trade show to be held in Toronto, Ontario from August 21-23. The apparel and textile manufacturers from countries like China, India, the US, the UK, Canada and Switzerland will participate in the fair.

International Payment experts of EBC and CXI will be present at the fair to provide free InstaQuote, sample pricing for any international purchase orders, along with a one-on-one Business Analysis to devise a customised international payments strategy.

Bob Dowd, SVP for EBC and a 30+ year veteran of the foreign exchange and payments industry, will be speaking at the event and live on twitter about Defining and Understanding the FX Currency Risk on August 23, 2017.

Foreign exchange (FX) is a risk factor that is often overlooked by SMEs in Canada and beyond but FX risk can lead to potential financial losses due to devaluation of the local currencies against any foreign currency. Dowd will provide an understanding of the volatile FX market risks specific to Canadians and the techniques to mitigate these risks.

A comprehensive trade show and conference, ATSC is supported by many international governmental associations, headed by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel (CCCT) and the Bangladesh High Commission, led by Dewan Mahmud, first secretary (commercial) at Bangladesh High Commission. The 2017 show will see a larger delegation of exhibitors and speakers from both China and Bangladesh after the show's successful debut last August. (KD)
