Dutch inflation rate estimated at 4.6% in July 2023: CBS

- Dutch inflation rate measured by the consumer price index (CPI) in July 2023 slowed to 4.6 per cent, compared to 5.7 per cent in June 2023, according to the CPI measure from Statistics Netherlands (CBS).
- Meanwhile, July's harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) estimate reported inflation at 5.3 per cent, down from June's 6.4 per cent.
It's crucial to note that the 4.6 per cent inflation for July doesn't pile onto June's 5.7 per cent rate. Rather, it signifies that the price rise has somewhat decelerated compared to the previous month, as per CBS.

In a parallel flash estimate using the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), inflation in July 2023 stood at 5.3 per cent, down from the 6.4 per cent recorded in June.
