Fibre2Fashion, the world’s leading trade portal for the textile, apparel and fashion industry, is going to participate in Textiles India 2017, the first ever mega event for the entire textiles value chain, to be held in Gandhinagar from June 30. The Indian government aims to position Textiles India as an annual event alongside major global trade events.

India is one of the few countries in the world with the complete textiles supply chain including spinning, weaving, knitting, processing and garmenting. The entire value chain directly employs over 45 million people, and it has potential to employ another 3.5 million people by 2022. The event is part of the government’s various schemes and policies to fully utilize the potential of this industry. Over 15,000 visitors from various parts of the country and around 2,500 international buyers are likely to visit the 3-day exhibition showcasing manufacturing capability in the organised sector, as well as India’s rich heritage and modern diversified products like handlooms, jute, silk, cotton, wool and man-made fibre.

“With participation of more than 1,000 exhibitors, the event provides a platform to connect and collaborate with global manufacturers, investors and buyers. So, it is natural for us to participate and help companies join the vast network on Fibre2Fashion through the varied solutions that we offer from business networking to brand promotion, market research to special industry-specific compendiums, recruitment solutions to e-commerce, all under one roof” says Jose Daniel, executive director, Fibre2Fashion.
