Haifa Group enters Indian market through Deepak Fertilizers deal

Haifa Group is expanding its worldwide activities to India, having signed a collaborative agreement with the Indian Group DEEPAK on 31 March 2024. Deepak is the public company in India and also the parent company of Mahadhan Agritech Limited (MAL), which specializes in unique fertilizers. Haifa Group and Deepak will cooperate towards significantly improving innovation and sustainability in the field of plant nutrition and agriculture in India over the course of the coming years. This new strategic cooperation is expected to provide Indian farmers with access to advanced plant nutrition solutions and effective Nutrigation practices to improve crop yields and quality, while focusing on resource preservation and reduction of environmental pollution.

The companies will additionally work together to raise awareness around precision plant nutrition, with emphasis on accessibility of modern solutions to Indian farmers, as a means of improving food security, and enhancing the farmer’s income and India’s economy.

DEEPAK is a large public company in India specializing in the production, in India, of ammonia and bulk fertilizers as well as speciality fertilizers. The company has a significant foothold in the Indian subcontinent and markets its products to a multitude of farmers via hundreds of active distributors and dealers.
