Italian firm LGL Electronics partners Piotex for weft feeders business

LGL Electronics, an Italian producer of electronic yarn feeders for knitting machinery, has joined hands with Piotex Ventures Private Limited for setting up a full-fledged service centre for LGL weft feeders at Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. Indian textile manufacturer Piotex believes that this partnership will benefit the textile industry.
 
“LGL Electronics is widely known for meeting the most demanding expectations, offering top-performing products with high technological content and possibly anticipating solutions for future needs,” the company said in a press release. “LGL weft feeders are successfully installed on almost all the weaving machines: rapier, air-jet, projectile; knitting machines: large diameter, seamless socks, flat as well as several others application.”
 
“The wide range of electronic weft feeders is able to satisfy the humble needs of traditional weaving, challenging requirements of technical textiles and critical knitting fabrics,” the company added. LGL was first in the world to provide programable tension control and keep it constant throughout the weaving process. The braking system is equipped with electronic sensors that enables to monitor the tension in real time and to remarkably reduce the stress on the yarn. Optionally devices for the control of the yarn consumption can be installed as well.
