The country also saw a notable year-on-year decline, with the calendar-adjusted industrial production index falling by 3.1 per cent in comparison to February 2023. This decrease was observed despite February 2024 having one more working day than the same month in the previous year, with 21 working days against 20.
However, the unadjusted industrial production index registered a 0.4 per cent increase when compared with February 2023, as per Istat.
