Manzhouli, China's largest land port situated in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has reached a significant milestone by handling a total of 22,000 China-Europe freight train trips since the service's inception a decade ago, according to the port's administration office.
As of September 30 this year, the port's contribution to China-Europe freight train operations accounted for nearly 30 per cent of the national total.
In terms of import and export volumes, Manzhouli handled approximately 16.8 million tonnes of goods, marking a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 41.9 per cent. Furthermore, the port oversaw 3,722 China-Europe freight train trips during this period, showing a 4.9 per cent YoY growth.
