Newlife, from the Sinterama Group, has won the “Technology and Innovation award” at the Green Carpet fashion Awards event held in Milan during the women’s fashion week. The event brought together the most important Italian fashion designers and world celebrities along with the most innovative Italian textile companies focused on eco-sustainability values.

The event was organised by the “Camera Nazionale della Moda” together with Livia Firth, Eco-Age founder, supported by the “Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico” and “patrocinio del Comune di Milano”. The event brought together the most important italian fashion designers and world celebrities along with the most innovative Italian textile companies focused on the eco-sustanability values.

Newlife won the award as the best product related to “technology and innovation”. Guglielmo Fiocchi, CEO Sinterama Group, said the company was a market leader focusing on innovation in line with Sinterama’s sustainable strategy and philosopy.

Together with Newlife others who were awarded at the event include Brunello Cucinelli, Maison Valentino, Tom Ford, Marco Bizarri, president and CEO from Gucci and Paolo Zegna.

Newlife is the product of an ambitious project developed by Sinterama. This technologically innovative and certified platform offers a wide range of excellent quality and high performing recycled polyester yarns, made from post-consumption plastic bottles collected in Italy. Its three main qualities are: 100 per cent made in Italy, traceability and production using a mechanical process. (SV)
