Pak FBR withdraws 5% regulatory duty on cotton yarn import

Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recently withdrew 5 per cent regulatory duty on the import of cotton yarn. It amended the earlier notification dated June 28, 2019, to withdraw the regulatory duty till June 30 next year. The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet in a meeting held on December 2 had approved the decision.
The ministry of commerce had presented a proposal before the ECC in this regard, according to Pakistani media reports.
