Poland's sold production prices show 1.7% YoY decline in Jul 2023

In July 2023, there has been a decrease in the prices of Poland’s sold production of industry, both month-on-month (MoM) and year-on-year (YoY), as per preliminary data from Statistics Poland. While prices dropped by 0.7 per cent MoM, there was a 1.7 per cent YoY decline.

The decrease was felt across all industry sections, with a particularly sharp decline of 5.8 per cent in manufacturing on an MoM basis. Specific areas that saw reductions include the manufacture of apparel at 0.7 per cent MoM, textiles at 0.5 per cent MoM, and leather and related products at 0.4 per cent MoM, Statistics Poland said in a press release.

There were also some areas within the manufacturing sector where prices increased. The manufacture of apparel saw a 0.3 per cent YoY rise, textiles went up by 0.6 per cent YoY, and leather and related products saw a substantial 3.7 per cent YoY increase.
