PTA prices in Asia fall last week

PTA prices decreased in Asia in the last week owing to poor product demand in the region.

In FE Asia, average prices slipped to US$ 880/ton in the earlier week from US$ 905/ton in the week before, registering a reduction of 2.76 per cent.
In SE Asia, average prices lowered by US$ 25/ton and settled at US$ 905/ton in the last week, after a decline of 2.69 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the prior week.
In India, average prices went down by US$ 20/ton and valued at US$ 920/ton in the preceding week, post a fall of 2.13 per cent as against US$ 940/ton in the former week.
