“Every person is different. Bold Metrics is first-to-market with a solution that allows shoppers to take their unique fit preference into account when buying clothes online,” the company said in a press release.
Bold Metrics uses machine learning technology to predict highly accurate body measurements and connect customers to better-fitting clothing. The Smart Size Chart further takes into account body size and shape diversity to enable brands to match customers to clothing that fits the way they like it.
“After all, no two people are 100 per cent alike. And trying to figure out how clothes will fit by looking at similar customers who have bought the same thing doesn’t take into consideration where you like things to be tight or loose in a specific garment. The Smart Size Chart takes these details into account to present shoppers with clothes that fit and goes a step further by showing exactly where clothes will be loose, tight, and just right on your body,” explains Bold Metrics.
The Smart Size Chart needs just 4 to 6 simple inputs from customers (none that require a measuring tape). It offers over 50 distinct and highly accurate body measurements, and is integrated with garment data to personalise apparel discovery based on fit. Further, the chart is tailored to customers’ personal preferences.
“We’ve harnessed the power of machine learning to personalise the shopping experience, and in the process, have been proven to reduce returns by 50 per cent or more,” the release adds. (RKS)
