Second Skin Designs is a privately owned denim garment manufacturer based in Ahmedabad, India with a production capacity of over 40,000 units per month. The multi-faceted design house initiated by three entrepreneurs in 2003 caters for both job works as well as its own in-house brand called “NEOLITHIC”. The brand NL has been significantly marketed in many parts of the huge Indian market. Their proficiency in managing supplier demands within the time constraints and customer specifications has attracted clients both internationally and within the local market. Today, SSD employs over 120 personal within the manufacturing plant,in addition to 15 employees in sales, management & marketing. Besides an effective sales force in India they have representatives in Europe too to assist in the smooth running of all transactions and orders. It is prudent to say that the European base has played a pivotal role in managing a few key accounts in Portugal and England. The company has successfully managed to forge alliances with suppliers and other manufactures who can exclusively supply their infrastructure for meeting all customer orders. Their factory is operational on a 24-hour basis where all cutting, stitching, washing, quality checking, finishing and packing are carried out under one roof. The product in its phase of production, is checked at least four times. From all the employees 15 are dedicated to quality control to ensure the consistency of product output. SSD has helped business around the globe to meet their client’s requirements. Within just 3 years since their beginning they have managed to establish themselves successfully within the denim arena making all the processes involved in developing the product possible at their end.
