Description : Unique, warm wool cap knit by hand in New Zealand. Stansborough Greys' are a rare breed of purebred sheep with a fine lustrous wool that is special to the breed. Each special fleece is hand sorted into shades of gray and washed, before being finely spun, individually knit with the greatest care and attention. Noticing the exceptional qualities of a primitive gray sheep's fleece, stansborough began breeding the animals, solely for their wool. Over 10 years of selective breeding has developed a silky and lustrous fiber and their flock is now over one thousand strong, still the only one of its kind in the world.
