Global Manufacturing Output Growth Declines amid Sluggish Demand Conditions

Global manufacturing output growth waned in August 2022 as new orders declined with rising stocks of finished goods, resulting in excess capacity build-up at factories. There was some respite from inflationary pressures, but it remained above average. The business outlook was also increasingly weak amid the impact of inflation and economic uncertainty.
