India’s Patanjali Ayurved Group has planned to expand its apparel brand ‘Paridhan’ by opening 500 new stores this year where clothes made of bamboo fibre and khadi will be available. It has set a target revenue of ₹1,000 crore by next fiscal from its apparel brand, according to its founder yoga guru Baba Ramdev. It already has 20 Paridhan stores in the country.

Patanjali Paridhan, launched in November last year, has three sub-brands—a womenswear brand Aastha, Unisex sportswear brand Livfit and a menswear brand Sanskar.

Over 100 experts will take care of the apparel quality and the company plans to soon increase the range of the clothes, Ramdev told a news agency.

Apart from expanding its brick and mortar stores, Patanjali is strengthening its online presence by partnering with leading fashion e-commerce players and is expected to launch its own website later this year. (DS)
