China sets up over 2K overseas warehouses for cross-border e-com

In a bid to develop cross-border e-commerce trade, China has set up over 2,000 overseas warehouses, which are built by export and e-commerce firms in buyer countries and regions, as per the Ministry of Commerce (MOC). The total area of these warehouses exceeds 16 million m². Goods are delivered directly to local customers from these warehouses.

The warehouses are vital for cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade.

The MOC has also said that it will encourage cross-border e-commerce companies, foreign trade companies and logistics firms to jointly build warehouses in different countries and offer financial support to drive development.
