Shoppers Stop to set up apparel unit in Telangana

India’s lifestyle brand Shoppers Stop has decided to set up its apparel manufacturing unit at the Sircilla Apparel Park in Telangana. A memorandum of understanding was recently signed in Mumbai between company chief executive officer Rajiv Suri and state principal secretary for information technology (IT) and industries Jayesh Ranjan in this regard.
State IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao said move will create employment opportunities for hundreds of women in the region, according to a news agency report.
Rama Rao also held discussions with industry leaders from the textile sector in Mumbai and conveyed information about investment opportunities in Telangana with several industrial parks coming up in the state.
