  • AI has the capability to analyse a large variety of data—ranging from fashion media to sales data, noted Bodi.Me's founder in an interview with Fibre2Fashion.
  • It enables retailers to improve online shopping experiences and forecast customer behaviour.
  • She also emphasised how 3D scanners have digitised the apparel industry, expediting delivery processes.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) possesses advanced capabilities in the realm of retail data analytics, offering immense benefits to the industry, noted Lara Mazzonni, the co-founder and CEO of UK-based SaaS company Bodi.Me. In a recent interview with Fibre2Fashion, Mazzonni also touched upon the significance of 3D body and fabric scanners in the apparel industry.

Mazzonni explained how AI plays a pivotal role in improving the online shopping experience. “AI’s capacity to analyse vast quantities of data from diverse sources, including fashion media, social media, sales data, and other trend forecasting tools, is nothing short of remarkable,” she told F2F. She added that their tools “can be harnessed to optimise stock orders, minimising instances of incorrect sizing in stock and excess inventory.”

Overall, the use of scanners has contributed to digitising the apparel industry and speeding up decision-making processes and product delivery, opined Mazzonni. “Scanners with the high degree of accuracy that we use are helping the industry to move closer to a more sustainable made-on-demand and made-to-measure business model,” she added.
