Texbase unveils Discussions, supply chain tool

24 Jul 17 2 min read

Texbase, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based product compliance, testing and materials management software solutions for the apparel, footwear, and consumer products industries, has released Discussions, a fully-integrated supply chain communications tool. Texbase is a pioneer in cloud-based business solutions and collaboration platforms.

Enterprise communication typically happens within email or messaging, without any link to the actual object of conversation. This leads to disconnected data and a lack of knowledge sharing which deprives organisations of the collective wisdom needed to make informed business decisions.

Joe Walkuski, Texbase CEO said, “Customers have asked us for a way to capture the information lost in emails when employees jump back and forth between Texbase for data storage and their email client. Texbase Discussions delivers contextual intelligence by capturing conversations that occur within the supply chain that are documented and forever attached to the object being discussed. The result is a more holistic approach to enterprise knowledge management.”

Discussion participants can include both licensed Texbase users, Texbase Connect supply chain partners (including suppliers, manufacturers, and independent testing labs), in addition to any external, non-licensed contacts identified by the discussion creator. Discussions is applicable to all Texbase modules including fabrics, components, finished products, specifications, testing, compliance, yarns, fibres, and colour.

Texbase Discussions was part of the recently released Summer 2017 version of Texbase and is now available to all Texbase subscribers. (GK)
