Asian PX prices show mixed trend last week

Paraxylene (PX) prices moved up in Korea and SE Asia in the last week due to strong buying inquiries in the region.
In Korea, average prices increased by US$ 15/ton and assessed at US$ 775/ton in the last week, a rise of 1.97 per cent compared to previous week.
In SE Asia, average prices soared by US$ 10/ton and quoted at US$ 785/ton in the last week, showing an increase of 1.29 per cent over previous week.
In Taiwan, average prices declined by US$ 5/ton and assessed at US$ 785/ton in the last week, registering a fall of 0.63 per cent from the previous week due to pessimistic market fundamentals.
