Thanking the government for its crucial support to the readymade garments (RMG) industry during the pandemic that helped the sector ‘survive and make a turnaround’, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) president Faruque Hassan recently applauded inclusion of garment workers under the COVID-19 vaccination programme on a priority basis.

Hassan met state minister for labour and employment Begum Monnujan Sufian and discussed the overall situation of the RMG industry, BGMEA said in a press release.

BGMEA senior vice president SM Mannan was also present at the meeting.
