Asian ethylene prices display mix trend past week

Ethylene prices showed mixed undertone in Asia in the last week.

In Korea, Japan and SE Asia average prices plunged due to insipid market conditions.

In Korea, average prices edged lower by US$ 5/ton and finalised at US$ 1200/ton in the last week, a fall of 0.41 per cent as compared to the previous week.

In Japan, average prices inched down by US$ 5/ton and secured at US$ 1195/ton in the last week, after a decrement of 0.42 per cent as compared to the previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices dropped down by US$ 10/ton and quoted at US$ 1180/ton in the last week as compared to the previous week, a declination of 0.84 per cent.

In NE Asia, average prices marched higher by US$ 20/ton and assessed at US$ 1275/ton in the last week, an advancement of 1.59 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week due to positive market sentiments.
