Benzene prices increase in US past week

Benzene prices surged in US in the last week due to lift in buying interest in the region.
In US, average prices advanced by 5 cents/pound and quoted at 305 cents/pound in the last week, a hike of 1.67 per cent over the previous week.
In Europe, average prices dropped down by US$ 20/ton and secured at US$ 870/ton in the last week, a reduction of 2.25 per cent as compared to the previous week due to sluggish trading activity along with bearish upstream energy values in the region.
