Benzene prices plunge in US past week

Benzene prices edged lower in US in the last week owing to pessimistic market fundamentals in the region.
In US, average prices stepped down by 5 cents/gallon and settled at 295 cents/gallon, a drop of 1.67 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
Meanwhile in Europe, average prices declined by US$ 5/ton and assessed at US$ 870/ton in the previous week, a declination of 0.57 per cent as compared to the last week due to softer buying trends in the region.
