Award-winning Argentinean fashion designer Maureene Dinar will present her latest collection of inspired creations at Couture Fashion Week in New York City.
The highly anticipated fashion show will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007 in the Roof Ballroom of the world-famous St. Regis Hotel.
Maureene Dinar completed her primary education in her native Egypt and later attended college in Alexandria where she pursued her passion for all forms of art. She perfected her talents at drawing, painting and sculpture at the Academie Des Beaux Arts in Paris, and after settling in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she began her fashion career designing for other labels and also creating theater and TV costumes.
In 1995 Ms. Dinar was invited to present her designs in Düsseldorf, Germany, and since then she has shown her collections in London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Turkey, Miami, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Ecuador.
Ms. Dinar is the winner of a number of prestigious international fashion awards including Igedo 1995, Heraldo 2000, Vitra 1996, DILA 1996, Atrevidas 1999/2000, MARBO 1997, Textura y Diseño 1998, 2º Bienal Beaux Artes Ettenie 2000, and more.
Her designs have appeared in publications around the world such as Donna Moda (Italy), Vogue (Paris), Collezioni (Italy), Elle, Caras, Gente, Vanidades, among others.
During the course of her career, Maureene Dinar has dressed numerous celebrities and VIPs including Cecilia Roth, Adriana Varela,Victoria Beckham, Xuxa, Esther Cañadas and Melanie Griffith.
