Handloom Mark - The Assured Originality

Scope


  • The scheme covers all handloom fabrics and products made thereof.
  • The Handloom Mark scheme will be operational throughout the country. Individual weavers, Master weavers, Primary Handloom Weavers Co-operative societies, Apex societies, State Handloom Corporations, Retailers, Manufacturer Exporters and Merchant Exporters are entitled to participate in the scheme and avail benefits thereof.


Standard of certification for Handloom Mark


For Domestic Market Eligibility Criteria


1.         For Individual Weaver:

    • Should posses Handloom/s.
    • Based on the estimated production capacity and productivity.
    • Registration either with Weavers Co-operative society or with any of the Government schemes such as Weavers service centers, Handloom Weavers Group Insurance scheme, Deendayal hathkargha, Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar will be preferred.


2.         For Master Weaver

    • Should have networking of only Handloom weavers.
    • Based on the estimated of the production capacity:
    • Registration either with Weavers Co-operative society or with any of the Government schemes such as Weavers service centers, Handloom Weavers Group Insurance scheme, Deendayal hathkargha, Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar will be preferred.


3.         For Co-operative Society Weaver

    • Should be registered under Co-Operative Societies Act.
    • Based on the estimated production capacity & membership profile.
    • Registration either with Federation Weavers Co-operative society, apex society or with any of the Government schemes such as Weavers service centers, Handloom Weavers Group Insurance scheme, Deendayal hathkargha, Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar will be preferred.


4.         For Apex Handloom Society, Handloom Development Corporation

    • Should be registered under Co-Operative Societies Act.
    • Based on the estimated production capacity & membership profile.


5.         For Manufacturers and Retailer of made-ups & Garments

    Following fields are mandatory for Manufacturers and Retailer of made-ups & Garments.

    • Based on last year production/sale statement duly signed by a Chartered Accountant.
    • Based on the source of supplies and quantities of hand woven fabrics.
    • Produce the average consumption per garment / made-up articles
