Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) has revealed, recently, that it had accepted orders worth over 775 tons of cotton, last week, ending May 12
These commitments include 18 tons of Giza 70, 542 tons of Giza 86, 1 ton of Giza 87, 203 tons of Giza 88 and 12 tons of Giza 90.
This will bring the total contracts to 62,819.8 tons, valued at around $155.79 million, for the season that began September 2006.
Alcotexa, a non-profit making, non-trading organization, aims at developing cotton trade among exporters, importers, spinners and other bodies inside or outside the country.
