Alcotexa enters another commitment for exporting cotton

Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) confirmed on July 20 about its commitment to sell 70 tons of cotton for export in the week that ended on July 19.
Alcotexa has plans to export 70 tons of Giza 89 variety of cotton and with this new commitment export commitments of the association for the season, which began in September, reached 135,184.8 tons of cotton worth US $282.35 million.
Known for its supreme quality, Egyptian cotton is used for the production of a wide range of value added products including bedding and pillow cases. Demand for this raw material has never ceased and in keeping with the present market situation, consumption will only amplify in the future.
