Rieter India organises gala event in New Delhi

Rieter in cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland organised a gala event in New Delhi on February 4, 2016, to recognise its significant achievements in the textile industry.
“The occasion marked 2016 as the year of Swiss innovations in India and this event brought together more than 90 dignitaries across multiple diaspora,” a Rieter Indian press release stated.
These included textile business leaders, members of the Swiss Business Forum from India, representatives from textile associations, leading vendors and media persons.
The year of Swiss innovation in India is an initiative by the Embassy of Switzerland which steers and guides scientific communities, researchers and entrepreneurs of India and Switzerland.
The welcome address was delivered through a very articulate and affluent speech from Dr. Linus Von Castelmur, the Swiss ambassador to India and Bhutan.
A highlight of the event was an audio-visual presentation showing the milestones of Rieter as leading supplier of entire spinning systems in India and the world.
Dr. Norbert Klapper, Group CEO of Rieter spoke about the company's achievements in its 220 years of existence and its thrust on innovation led by three promising areas; Listen to the customer; make technology available and nurture innovation spirits.
Dr. Klapper further added that this is what makes Rieter an innovation leader in short staple spinning.
Mr. Peter Anderegg, a Swiss innovation expert, spoke on the small country's 'Innovation Power' and its global position in terms of innovation with future challenges and opportunities.
Mr. Thomas Anwander, chairman of the board of directors, Rieter India Pvt. Ltd., concluded the program with special closing remarks. (AR)
